Where to Buy Cute Baby Clothes in Seattle

Whether you have a family photo session coming up, a baby shower or birthday party that needs a cute gift - I’ve pulled together some of my favorite places to buy cute baby clothes in the greater Seattle area!

Why Shopping Local for Baby Clothes in Seattle Is Worth It

It feels so silly to say, but I am guilty of resorting to ordering everything online these days. I almost exclusively shop for clothing for myself online, and have largely resorted to the same habits when it comes to my kids’ clothes.

When You Need Cute Baby Clothes in a Hurry (And Prime Won’t Cut It)

But then you realize that your family photos are NEXT WEEK and you don’t have time to ship a cute new outfit to your house (because the cute stuff usually isn’t available with Prime speed shipping). OR half of those cute brands these days only do limited runs of seasonal styles and they’re sold out of what you want. OR You’ve already chosen your outfit, and you can’t tell if the dress you have in real life coordinates with that baby romper on your computer screen. (I literally took my family photo dress to the store with me recently to hold it up next to some kid clothes!)

The Perks of Choosing Small Shops for Big Moments

I am exceptionally lucky in the amount of hand-me-downs both of my kids have received from friends, so when it comes time for a special occasion or our own family photos, I like to get them something a little special! Plus I always love to support local small businesses!

Next time you’re in need of the perfect little outfit for your baby or kiddo, be sure to check out some of my favorite spots!

Best Baby and Kids Clothing Stores in the Greater Seattle Area

  • City Mouse - West Seattle - I’m obsessed with the fabric patterns that they use in their adorable baby clothing!

  • Village Maternity - U Village - a go-to for all things maternity + baby! Also carries some of my favorite online brands like Quincy Mae / Rylee & Cru

  • Childish Things - North Seattle - (resale and new)

  • Little Bipsy - Edmonds - adorable basics! And kind of a skater/hipster vibe

  • Duke & Mae - an adorable local boutique that sources lots of local brands. Duke & Mae has retail pop ups at both Heybrook locations!

  • Small Threads For Kids - Eastside - (resale) I recently learned about this local chain of resale clothing/gear and can’t wait to check it out!

And if you’re looking for a great spot for a non-clothing-related gift, check out Clover Toys in Ballard!
