Seattle maternity photography for the mom who wants real proof of this season, not just a bump pic in a bathroom mirror.
Warm, natural maternity sessions in your favorite Seattle spots, or right at home when the PNW weather has other plans.
You're growing an entire human. That deserves more than a phone selfie.
Maybe this is your first baby and you're equal parts thrilled and terrified. Maybe it's your second or third, and somehow you still don't have a single real photo of yourself pregnant. Either way, here's what's probably on your mind:
Not feeling beautiful right now. Pregnancy has you swollen, tired, and not exactly feeling like a magazine cover, and the idea of being photographed feels like the opposite of that.
The PNW deciding to ruin your plans. Rain in April, snow in January, gray skies basically year-round, you've seen the forecast. What if your one shot at this gets washed out?
Your partner rolling their eyes at "maternity pictures." You want this. They're lukewarm. Convincing them feels like its own project.
Looking back in five years with nothing. No photos of this exact bump, this exact body, this exact version of your family right before it changed forever.
Pregnancy is magic, however you got there.
Both of my kids are here because of IVF, that's the pineapple tattoo you might spot on my arm during our session. Whatever your road to this point looked like, I never take for granted what it means to be standing here, growing a person. It is genuinely an honor to document it.
I've been photographing Seattle families for almost 15 years, through every kind of PNW weather curveball, every kind of reluctant partner, every body at every stage of pregnancy feeling every kind of way about being in front of a camera. I know how to find your best light, your best angle, and the moment you actually stop posing and just exist in it.
Meet your Seattle maternity session.
Your maternity session is relaxed and documentary-style, built around your actual pregnancy, not a Pinterest board you have to live up to. We'll pick a setting that feels like you, a favorite park, the beach, your own living room, and let the season do some of the work: golden light in fall, snow in winter, blooms in spring.
This session is for you if:
You're around 32-34 weeks and want a real bump going, without cutting it too close to early labor
You want photos that actually look like you, not someone else's idea of "glowing"
You want your partner, your kids, or your dog in the frame with you
You're planning to print these, hang them, or pair them with a newborn session later
Here's what you'll walk away with.
After your session, you'll have:
A gallery of your best images, fully edited, with download and printing rights included
Real proof that you carried this pregnancy, not a stand-in for it
Photos with your partner, your other kids, your dog, the whole family this baby is about to join
A sneak peek within a few days, because nine months of waiting is enough
The option to bundle with a newborn session at a discount, plus a custom layflat album if you want these photos to actually make it onto your wall instead of just your camera roll
HOW IT WORKS
Seattle Maternity Photographer
Book Online
Choose your date around 32-34 weeks, pay your deposit, sign your contract online. If the PNW weather doesn't cooperate, we adjust together, indoors, rescheduled, whatever it takes.
Have Fun
Show up ready to actually enjoy this. I'll handle the kids, the dog, the directing. You just get to be present in your body for once instead of critiquing it.
Enjoy Your Photos
Your full gallery arrives in 2-3 weeks, sneak peek even sooner. Download it, print it, hang it, whatever you want.
Don’t just take my word for it.
"As first time parents, we weren't terribly sure what to expect. Meredith was phenomenal at making us feel comfortable and relaxed. My husband even commented that he had fun, which is a lot considering he was not sold on the idea of maternity pictures in the first place."
— Maureen"The weather for our maternity shoot wasn't as we expected for a winter session, but the photos turned out better than we could have imagined in the snow. We have many framed and hung in our house and nursery."
— CaitlinMaternity sessions are a fit, and not a fit, for some specific people. Here's the honest version.
You're in the right place if:
You want real, natural photos of this exact pregnancy, not a generic stock-photo version of "glowing"
You're booking with enough lead time to lock in a 32-34 week date (this window moves fast)
You want your partner, kids, or pets included, whatever your family actually looks like right now
You plan to print or display these photos, not just let them sit in a phone
This probably isn't for you if:
You're looking for heavily posed, studio-style maternity photography (not my style)
Price is the main deciding factor, I'd love to point you toward someone who's a better fit
You only want digital files with no plans to ever print or display them

If you're still in the "I have seventeen tabs open and don't know where to start" phase of pregnancy, I made something for you.
What You Don't Actually Need to Do Before Baby Arrives is a free guide for the expecting mom with seventeen browser tabs open and a to-do list that won't stop growing.
Here's what 20 years of photographing families in their first days home has taught me: the list is shorter than anyone told you.
Grab it and walk away knowing:
What you can officially stop stressing about
What a newborn actually needs (it's three things, I promise)
The one thing that genuinely can't wait -- and exactly how to handle it without the scramble

It happens a lot in the PNW! We watch the 24-48 hour forecast and make the call together. I love shooting in homes during the wetter months too, sometimes that ends up being the better photos anyway!
-
2-3 weeks for your full gallery. I usually send a sneak peek within a couple of days.
-
You’ll get a full “how to prepare” guide with styling tips and suggestions. My main advice: wear what makes you feel like you, and something you can move and laugh in.
-
Absolutely yes, please. This is your family right now, exactly as it is. If your dog has a lot of energy, it can help to bring a friend to help wrangle, but we'll make it work either way.
-
I do! Book both together and get a "baby bundle" discount. Watching a family grow from bump to baby is one of my favorite things to document.
-
Yes. Custom layflat albums start at $500. I handle all the design, you just pick your favorite 30-50 images and I do the rest.
-
Totally normal, and incredibly common. My job is to help you feel relaxed in front of the camera, not performative. We'll find angles and moments that feel like you, not a stranger's idea of "glowing." Some of my favorite session photos come from the moments clients almost talked themselves out of.
This season lasts about 8 weeks.
And then it's gone.
I'd love to be the person who helps you hold onto it.
