Seattle’s in-home newborn photographer for the parent who knows this window is short and doesn’t want to miss a second of it.
Real, warm, documentary-style newborn photos -- taken at your home, in your light, with your whole beautiful chaotic family (pets included!)
You already know the newborn days go fast. That's the whole problem.
You're not just looking for "a photographer." You're looking for someone who can walk into your home -- the one with the dog and the toddler and the nursing pillow on the couch -- and somehow make it feel like the most beautiful place in the world.
Because deep down, you're a little worried about:
Blinking and missing it. The tiny fingers, the way they curl into your chest -- you know it goes fast and you cannot let it blur by undocumented.
Choosing the wrong photographer. You've seen the overly posed, stiff newborn photos. That's not you. You want something real.
Looking back and wishing you'd just done it. Not someday. Now, while they're still this small.
You deserve photos that actually look like your family.
I'm Meredith -- Seattle in-home newborn photographer, mom of two, and the person who will show up at your front door, figure out which corner of your living room has the best light, and spend the next hour documenting everything you want to remember about right now.
I've been doing this for nearly 15 years. I've photographed families in small apartments, in rambling craftsman homes, in "it's a little messy, sorry" spaces that turned into the most beautiful sessions. I know how to work with a fussy baby, a spirited toddler, a nervous partner who definitely didn't want to be photographed, and a dog who has opinions.
And I know that the photos you'll treasure most aren't the perfectly posed ones. They're the ones where your oldest is hugging the baby a little too hard, and you're laughing, and it's completely real.
That's what I'm here to capture.
Meet your Seattle in-home newborn session.
Your newborn session is a documentary-style, in-home experience designed for families who want warm, natural photos that feel true to who they actually are.
I come to you. No studio. No props. No trying to figure out parking downtown with a three-week-old.
This session is for you if:
You're expecting (or just arrived!) and want to document these early days before they're gone
You care about real moments more than perfect poses
You want your whole family in the photos -- including your dog, your toddler, and the chaos they bring
You're the kind of person who knows they'll regret not doing this
Here's what you'll walk away with.
After your session, you'll have:
A curated gallery of 75-100 fully edited, high-resolution images -- with printing rights included
Photos that look like your home, your family, your real life -- not a catalog shoot
Images of every combination: you with baby, your partner with baby, your whole family together, and the tiny details you'll want to remember forever (those hands, those feet, that yawn)
A sneak peek delivered within a few days, because waiting is hard enough
The option to add a custom layflat album and/or gallery prints -- I'll do all the design work so you don't have to (and so it actually gets made, not just planned)
HERE’S HOW EASY THIS IS
Seattle Newborn Photographer
Book Online
Select the date that's about a week after your due date. Babies come when they want! This holds your spot on my calendar. We'll coordinate the actual session once baby arrives.
Baby’s Here!
Shoot me a quick email when your little one makes their entrance. We'll nail down a session date for when they're 2-3 weeks old, typically a weekday morning at 10am.
I Come to You
I arrive at your home, scout the light, and we just... hang out and document your family. If baby needs to eat, change, or be rocked -- that's completely normal and totally fine. Sessions usually run about an hour.
You Get Your Photos
Your full gallery arrives within 2-3 weeks. You pick your favorites, download them, print them, put them on your wall. And if you want an album, I'll take care of every detail.
Don't just take my word for it.
"Real talk: it's challenging to feel beautiful 20 days postpartum. I loved how Meredith employed her professional eye to flatter my new mama body."
— Laura"He cried almost the entire time Meredith was there and I was so nervous. I have no idea how, but she was able to squeak out countless shots of him looking as precious as ever."
— Lindsey"She was a wizard at finding the best corners of our home, making them look beautiful (when in reality, it was quite untidy)."
— LizNewborn sessions are a fit -- and not a fit -- for some specific people. Here's the honest version.
You're in the right place if:
You want warm, real, in-home photos that capture your actual family
You're booking during pregnancy so you have a spot secured (the newborn window is only a few weeks -- there's no "figure it out after")
You want your whole household in the photos, dog and toddler chaos included
You value the photographs enough to print them, display them, or make an album
This session probably isn't for you if:
You're looking for posed, studio-style newborn photography (that's not my style)
Price is the main deciding factor (I'd love to refer you to someone who's a better fit)
You only want digital files with no plans to print or display them
Not ready to book just yet? Start here.
If you're still in the "figuring everything out" phase of pregnancy, I made something for you.

Here's what 20 years of photographing families in their first days home has taught me: the list is shorter than anyone told you.

What a newborn actually needs (it's three things, I promise)
The one thing that genuinely can't wait -- and exactly how to handle it without the scramble

Got questions? I've got answers.
-
During your second trimester -- ideally around 20-24 weeks. This secures your spot and means you're not scrambling in the newborn fog. We lock in an actual session date after baby arrives.
-
I recommend 2-3 weeks after birth. Sessions are scheduled on weekdays at 10am and take place at your home.
-
Your session fee ($950) includes all of your best images edited in a downloadable gallery with printing rights. No nickel-and-diming for individual images.
-
Yes! Custom layflat albums start at $400. I handle all the design -- you just pick your favorite 30-50 images from your gallery and I do the rest. They ship to your door.
-
Absolutely yes, please. If your dog is particularly energetic, it can help to have a friend nearby to wrangle -- but we'll make it work either way.
-
I do! If you book both your maternity and newborn sessions together, you get a "baby bundle" discount. It's one of my favorite combos -- watching a family grow from bump to baby is just the best.
-
Completely normal. If baby needs to eat, be changed, or rocked -- we just roll with it. That's part of the session, not a problem.
-
2-3 weeks for your full gallery. I usually send a sneak peek within a couple of days.
-
I'm happy to mask during your session, wash hands upon arrival, and minimize touching the baby (I shot throughout COVID, so I'm very used to all of this!) and of course will reschedule if I'm not feeling well!
You only get one newborn window.
And it goes fast. Like, really fast.
I'd love to be the person who helps you hold onto it.
“We had the best experience with Meredith in our newborn/family shoot. We have three kids and there was a lot of energy going around. Meredith gently navigated us allowing each child’s spirit to shine through. The final images are absolutely stunning, and I love how they capture our family so perfectly during this time.”
